Hang in There!

Image
Hang in there! There is a rainbow after the rain.We are now near to the end of this lockdown. Our new normal would now be different from before because of this corona virus. Regardless of what we have been through we were able to survive it. We endured the one  and a half month of staying at home. Though a lot of recipes had already been cooked, a lot of activities had been made, a lot videos had been posted on social media, a lot of sleep had already been done, a lot of weight had already been gained and lot of things that we have done that we didn’t do before  just to survive this quarantine. We can do it and we will stay resilient and survive this pandemic. Hang in there! We will heal as one. 💕

My Miracle 7

Image
Mark 5:21-43   King James Version (KJV) 21  And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. 22  And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, 23  And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. 24  And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. 25  And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27  When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29  And straightway the fountain...

Bedrest

It is a long holiday because of the Holy Week. Instead of hitting the beach or travelling in any tourist spots, unlucky for me I have to stay at the house. To make the scenario worst, aside from staying at the house I also have to take a bedrest. Though it is not a doctor's advice, I still have to because in every move I make my menstruation and my dysmenorrhea gets worse. My husband accompany me to get over to this but he was not used to stay in bed that he was not feeling well on the following day. I really pity my husband because he did not have an enjoyable vacation during this long holidays and now he is sick as well because of me. I hope we could get through to this by tomorrow.      Eventhough I am on bedrest, it would not hinder me from doing some payperpost oppurtunities. Luckily there are some offers. It will get me busy and forget some pains in my body. Thanks to the online freelance writing service at essaywriters.net for giving me some...

Points of View

I almost finish reading a book written in our native language which I thought would be full of jokes and funny stories. Indeed it was funny but upon reading  it there are some contexts in the book that relays to reality as to what really is the views of other nationality about us. There had been a lot of stories, essays and web pages stated that tackles about my country, its problems, its incompetencies and what is lacking inorder for it to succeed as a nation.  What struck me the most is the story of other races' perception about us. Their perception about us has been distorted by the wars in Mindanao, Abu Sayaf kidnapping, cheap prostitutes and former incompetent president that they neglected to notice the good traits of Filipinos and its beautiful country. There is also a story about a Filipino who wants to be on a different nationality if he will be reincarnated but there is also a story of a foreigner who loves our country so much that he preferred t...

Happy Graduation!!!

Image
Time is fast approaching and again it is graduation time. I am happy for all parents out there who eagerly waited for this day for their children. Every parent believes that bright future awaits to their newly graduated children with the hope that it will pave the way for their children to have a good job and independently sustain their needs. I was graduated from college for almost six years already and indeed my diploma back me up to have a job and it supported my daily needs.         Education is really important coupled up with hard work and perseverance to succeed in life. Being a student is  not easy and there are some hindrances along the way. On my time, financial issues had been my number one hindrance. I was studying at a private school and was not able to have a scholarship. I was financially supported by my mother who was a government school teacher and by my brothers who were OFW workers at that time. On ...

Stacked Up

It has been almost three years since I passed my licensure exam. I admit at this stage it was a bit hard to remember the principles I reviewed before especially when my work does not really much tackle everything  I have learned from my review. Now that my co-employees is reviewing for his licensure exam, he sometimes asked me some questions about the topics they discussed in their review.  It showed me how much I was stacked up with my knowledge in accounting, auditing, law and taxation. I was trying to refresh my knowledge in it when I created a blog about it. I was also planning to conduct online tutoring to keep myself updated with the latest info as well as refresh my knowledge about it. Aside from that it would also be considered as an extra income.  It would also be a great help to students and reviewees because it would be accessible through the internet and the tutor hours would be flexible with consideration to their vacant ...

Blurry Vision

A couple of days ago, I was so alarmed by a sudden feeling of nausea, severe headache and blurry vision. It might had been the symptoms of anemia of which I had been diagnosed before or I might already be experiencing a slight eye problem. I don't want to wear an eyeglass  that I haven't visited an eye specialist yet. If only Marc Werner, MD is nearby that I could visit for a discounted eye diagnosis. Hope in the coming days I won't experience that feeling again.

Perfect Timing

It has been raining almost everyday here in Davao City. This day had been different. There had been no signs that it will rain because the sky is clear and there are no heavy clouds. Since I assumed that it would not rain, I did not hurriedly went home and instead leisurely went to the supermarket to buy some groceries and had my dinner after that. After doing all the things that I have to do I went home. When I was already on the entrance of the subdivision where I stay, it was already drizzling. I was already inside the house when the heavy rain started to pour out. It was really a perfect timing and just in time for the rain to come by. Thank Lord for the safe trip and for not letting me get wet in the rain.

False Hope

Another false hope it has been. There are some certain things that we ask from God that only He knows when is the right time for it to be given. Then there are these things that we never asked for but was given, only to realized we badly needed it. Only God knows what is right for us. It is better to have false hope than never really hope at all. It is better to have false hopes, which reminds us that there is God who is more powerful and better designer of our lives than us, than to have granted hopes which made us forget God. Another false hope it may have been but it keeps me clinging on the idea that someday God will grant my special request. Fortes in Fide!!! Strong in Faith!!!

MBA Summer Class is Finally Over

At last, after seven Saturday meetings our MBA summer class is finally over. Another nine units will be added to my MBA credentials. Though, I sacrificed my rest day, travels and leisure that I could do every Saturday, I know that time will come my MBA units will be very useful to me. I enjoyed so much my summer class and it also added my list of friends. Most important thing is that I learned a lot. From prodman subject to human behavior, there are a lot of things to be noted that is very applicable to the workplace as well as personal lives. Good time management had been very essential to me when I am having my summer class. I have to divide my time to my work, my husband, my family and my studies. Before, I usually go home to our province twice a month but since I have my classes every Saturday, my husband has been traveling instead in order for us to have time with each other. A lot of travel plans had already been postponed since I co...

LA in Action

Image
I was so glad to be able to be a part of the LA (Ladies Auxiliary) department of our church. LA is the department for married women in our church and recently the 3rd Regional LA conference was held. It was my first time to attend a LA regional conference and it was worth it. When I was informed about it, I was hesitant at first because of my job. I was tasked to play at a scrabble  game to represent our section that it compelled me more to attend the said event. It was a three-day event and I was able to attend the last two days of it.It was held at Camp Mariano in Marbel, which is very memorable for me, it is where I receive my holy Ghost baptism during the District LA Conference last year. The feeling of being in the LA conference is very wonderful. It is the feeling that I won't exchange for the monetary worth of my leave absences. Aside from the experiences, I was also able to learned a lot especially from the American speaker Sis. Gleyson.  Ano...

8% Increase

God is really so good. Few days ago, I received a memo that I have an 8% increase adjustment in my salary. Aside from that I already passed my probationary status and I am now a regular employee. This is really a blessing. I never expected that the company would give this adjustment in a short span of time. Thank you Lord for this blessing.

Blessed Family Sunday

I had a blessed family day last Sunday . It was my first time to attend Sunday service at Tigatto church where my husband's uncle is the pastor. It was also a special Sunday because it was devoted  for families. A couple of families give testimonies and others dedicated a couple of songs to the Lord. I was touched, inspired and amazed by the different stories of each families. It was amazing to see in the children the combination of  the physical attributes of their parents. It was perfectly match and wonderfully combined. It is also very inspiring to see families attending Sunday Service. I really had a great time. Thank you Lord for that blessed family Sunday.

Swollen Finger

Until now, I still don't know what causes my ring finger to swell. I just woke up in the middle of the night that my finger is aching. Even a simple touch, badly hurts. My husband decided that I must take a one day leave in my work so that my fingers could relax for a while. I let it to be massage just in case there are affected nerves that must be corrected. The woman who massaged it told me that it might have been bitten by an insect and that it is just an allergic reaction.  Someone also told us that it might have some wounds and that a tiny foreign object is still in there that might causes the swelling. I am inspecting it very carefully but I couldn't find even a tiny wound on it. Another person told us that it might be an arthritis in the fingers that is why it is swelling. Even if I don't know what causes the swelling, I just took tablets of Amoxicillin and put hot compress on it. Thank God, after a day of swelling it returned back to its normal ...

Overweight

Few weeks ago I was required to submit my medical certificate as a pre-employment requirement to the government agency where I applied a couple of months ago. As expected, the lab results indicated that I have lower blood count as a result of having abnormal menstruation. After completing my lab results which are neuro, x-ray, blood, urine and drug test, I was already ready for the physical exam so that my medical certificate will be released. While weighing in, I could not believe that I gained a lot of pounds the last time I weigh in. I was shocked that I was in the weighing scale for a couple of minutes for I could not believe that I weigh that much. There are  some doubts in my mind that maybe the weighing scale is not functioning well or that maybe the numbers I got is incorrect or that instead of kilos it is in pounds. I stayed so long in the weighing scale that the nurse is already asking for my weight and is now volunteering to assist me...

Leisure Time

When we are bored and don't have anything to do, we usually spend our time watching DVDs, playing games, reading and many more. Nowadays, we are very much privilege because of the different movies, games, eBook and social networking sites in the internet that will occupy our leisure time. Unlike before, if you want to play cards you should really look for a playing partner to play with you. Now, we have computer games that don't need a playing partner. Before, if you want to play bingo, you should go to bingo house to be able to do so. Now, there are a lot of bingo sites to choose from wherein you could play bingo anytime and anywhere you want.  Anything you need to occupy you is already available at the end of your fingertips. There is really a big difference from now and before in terms of leisure. Physical presence is more needed before, unlike now wherein more on virtual world. Technology really shapes up our culture even our leisure act...

Great Help

Here in the Philippines, we are so lucky enough that we could be able to hire someone who could do our chores. We could hire nannies to take care of our little children. We could hire a helper if we could not be able to clean our house and other chores. If washing of clothes is the only thing you need, you could also hire someone to do it for you.          Some of my friends who went abroad, find difficulty in doing chores especially those who are married. When they are still here in the Philippines, almost all their chores are done by someone else but when they migrated abroad they are on their own. Married men were the ones who complain the most because when they are in the foreign country, they are hands-on in taking care of their babies. One friend of ours had been living a comfortable life here in the Philippines with a lot of helpers in their house but when she work abroad, she does nanny jobs , household works and washing of cl...

Tough Week

Last week had been a tough week for me. Monday was when I received an email regarding my disapproval to Google ad sense. I’m a little sad by it but it's OK. Tuesday had been another busy day for me at work. Wednesday, the worst day, was when my brother had a vehicular accident while on his work. I am so tense and worried about his situation. Luckily, he had only some minor wounds. The next day, Thursday, when I arrived at our house my brother showed me his dead flower horn fish. He took care of it for five months already. It was already having colors on his scales and half already of the size of a matured flower horn fish. My brother was disappointed by it because it jumped out of its aquarium and we were late by almost an hour to rescue it. What left to us now are only its pictures. Another tough day followed, Friday, was the day when I am starting to have a heavy flow menstruation. Throughout the day, I am so conscious and careful with it so that my jeans will not be stained by ...

Can't Resist

Love can move mountains. Love conquers all. Love is patient and kind. These are only some of the many definitions of love but to those who were in love there are no exact words to explain the feeling. It is indefinable. My friends and I were sharing about the conflicts we experienced with the relationships we are into. One of the things discussed that stick to my mind is on the notion that a guy who wants to settle down cannot wait longer for a girl to accept his proposal. They tend to end the relationship and look for a ready and available partner. I feared this scenario. I am in a six-year relationship and my guy had already been asking me for years when should we settle down. I had given him already a lot of alibis. My first alibi is that I should finish first my studies, second had been I should pass the CPA board exam, next alibi is to be able to have a job, then when his father died and my brother married I told him the it would be “sukob” and my last alibi had been to allow me t...

Unrealized Excitement

I am so excited today because it is Friday and we will be working for half-day only. Our company announced that we will attend the motorcade in the afternoon to show our support to the Liberal Party. Due to uncontrollable events, I wasn’t able to attend the motorcade and work in the office for whole day. Some of my co-employees delayed in the submission of the payroll documents for approval that we have to wait for them. We cannot postpone the approval of this just because we want to attend and enjoy the motorcade. These are wages of employees who work hard in the plantation. These are employees who work under direct sunlight and shed more sweat than us. Even though we are very excited to attend the motorcade, our conscience speaks louder telling us not to delay the compensation of these people. Sometimes we have to let go of our self interest to give way for the interest of the many. So, despite the unrealized excitement and tiredness I am still happy that I did the right thing today.
